Nails are a huge indulgence for me. Picking out what new color I'm going to sport for the next two weeks honestly gives me goose bump, as sad as that sounds. And no, I don't care if you all are judging me for that. With that being said, I typically try to stay on point with whatever is trending for the current season.
For spring 2014, there were lots of trends to choose from.
1. Embellished White
2. Stripe Detail
3. Metallic
4. Nail Art
5. Pastel Parade
6. Half Moon
The trends are really fun and daring compared to most trends I have seen as of lately. But, they also aren't really up my alley. I would be willing to try the half moon look (I love the backwards french manicure idea) and the pastels, but the other ones were a bit much for me. I did read, however, that ANY shade of blue is totally "in" for spring. Now that was something I could work with! I stopped at my local Target and picked up "Hide & Go Chic" by Essie. It's part of their Spring 2014 collection and the blue color was refreshing yet still dark enough to resemble the luminous winter weather we have been dealing with for foreeeeever here in Minnesota.
Overall, I am really happy with the color and look and can't wait to see what I choose in the next two weeks!
